Still No Baby...

Poor Megan is very uncomfortable. She wants the baby out. (And I want her to have the birthday of 08-08-08.) But no sign of baby yet. (And the Baby countdown is all confused now that we past the due date.)

Megan's been walking a lot, we had spicy Mexican food last night, etc. Post your comments of "old wives' tales" of how to induce labor.

Aww... I'm sorry I don't have any tips for you on how to get her out. Supposedly some types of acupuncture can help. At least that's what they showed on this rather eye opening birth video we watched last week...

Adrian also hopes she's born today, because that means he would win the poll. But he says he'll take the $5,000 payout instead of free baby holding, since we're up here and all. :)

The crazy hippy Birthing Center video that we watched, one lady chugged some castor oil to get it going.

Yes, it is crazy and hippy, but we'll probably end up going there. No oil change though.

The same way it got in is usually a good way to get it out!!!! Good luck with that!

I'm sorry! I know how uncomfortable it gets. Really I would talk with your doctor about induction. I was 80% and 1-2 cm effaced for three weeks! Having tons of contractions but not the real thing. That's why I was induced (even a week early). So, if it's right for you guys I would definitely consider it. Especially because none of the old wives tales work. Trust me I tried them all!

Poor Meggie!! I'm sorry that you have made such a great home for your little one that she doesn't want to come out! Don't get discouraged and stay active! You know what I mean!! :)

This is Emily's Mom. I keep checking your blog from hers waiting for the big news. My wives tell is how Emily was born on my birthday and ........ well, I just was taking to Emily and she might call you and tell you what I told her but if you read this first call her.

Congratulations and it's all worth it. (Well, until your baby moves to Washington.)
