Josh and Tiersha's Wedding Reception

Our friend Tiersha got married and we went to her reception. I love the reminder of the beginning of our own marriage when I go to weddings. Angie had a great time dancing and it was nice to see friends we don't get to see very often.

Visiting Daddy at Work

Angie got to have lunch with her Daddy so that I could go to the dentist. She loves to visit Daddy at work and he loves to see her :)

Walk at the Lake with Friends

We went for a walk with our friends at the lake and fed the ducks.
It was nice to get the blood pumping and have some nice conversation as well.
Later after nap time we went to our neighbor Rae's house and had some fun.
We also discovered that pealed apple was a great teething tool. Angie has 13 teeth plus two just about through. Poor girl tries to teethe on everything!

Love the Hand Me Down Sunday Dresses

Angie takes it as a challenge to try to sit on anything that is close to chair height. Then she is so proud of herself when she does.
Angie has gotten Hand Me Downs from her cousin Abbie and they are so cute! Here is a sample of one of the Sunday dresses. Thanks so much Abbie!

Fashion Island and Working in the Yard

We had intended on taking Angie to an Earth Day celebration in Newport Beach but had miscalculated the day of the celebration. It was to be on Sunday not Saturday. Since we had promised Angie to see some "phish" we took her to Fashion Island to run around, look at the fountains and fish.
Daddy kept a hold on her at the Koi pond.

Angie has a book that goes through all sorts of animals and asks what you say to them like Moo to the cow etc. The end of the book asks "what do you say to a little fish? Hello little fish". In this video you can see her waving hello to the "little" fish and saying the word "phish". I just love how she says words right now and need to be better at recording them.
Later after nap time Angie enjoyed helping her Daddy install some new sprinklers for our garden. She even wore his safety goggles. We had a wonderful day spending time together.

Disney CA Adventure, Lunch with Daddy and Goodnight Angie

Here is my little CA surfer girl. We (Angie and I) decided spur of the moment to got to Disney CA Adventure. First stop was to a little boat play area.
Angie is ready to turn the water main on!
She can also steer the boat.
Here Angie is making sure the firefighter's gear is up to par.
Next we went on the Ferris wheel. We even went on the ones that swing all over the place. Angie liked it until she go her finger tweaked in the metal mesh. As you can see behind us much of CA Adventure is under construction.
After the Ferris Wheel Angie insisted on pushing her stroller BY HERSELF even if it was into the crowd.
Then we went on the Under the Sea Merry Go Round. Angie was excited about the fish but would much more prefer it not move. You can see the terror on her sweet little face. FYI this picture was taken when everything was stationary. I was by her side the whole time things were on the move.
She did wave "goodbye" to the little fish. Then we got some ice cream but Angie would not eat any of it! I think we may need to do some genetic testing due to this, both Andy and I love ice cream.
After Disneyland we met up with Daddy for lunch at Chick fil' A.
Angie really loves wearing her sunglasses. She calls them her "eyes".
Grandpa Bob and Uncle Cameron came over after work and got a picture of us putting Angie to bed.

Goodbye Neighbors

Since moving to our new home we had become good friends with Kyle, Kristy, Ava and Jessica who live on our street. Just as it seemed that we really got to know them the time came for them to move out of state. We got to spent lots of time with them while Mommy and the girls came to our house for refuge from the movers. I just wish I had taken more pictures. Here is their beautiful daughter Jessica who is just a month younger than Angie. We had crapes and as you can see Jessica loved them. We will miss you all!

Park Reunion

My friend Rebecca from PTA school was in town for a visit with her family. The last time we saw her Angie was less than a week old. Since then she has had an addition of her own. It was fun to get together and Angie loves playing with other little ones.
Here is Rebecca, Jacob, Haven, Me and Angie.

Dana Point Ocean Institute

We took the behind the scenes tour at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point. It was somewhat interesting but not hands on like I had hoped. Here Angie gets a close look at the jellies without getting stung.
Here Angie is pointing out the "phish".
Should I be surprised that Angie moves faster than the fish in this picture?
We had a good time running around on the beach.
Wonder which of life's mysteries Angie is pondering here.
It was perfect weather at the beach, just a little breezy.
Someone was nice enough to offer to take a picture of us but Angie got very upset that someone that she did not know was holding our camera.
If you look closely you can see Angie was still upset.
It is hard to tell but the railings are supposed to reach all the way down to the bottom step but they have rusted away and are suspended in the air.

We sat for a while enjoying the beauty around us. I loved watching Angie's cute piggy tails blowing in the wind. I try to soak up these kind of moments.
Later in the evening we went with Daddy to the bike store to get a new tire tube and bike gloves. After we got dinner at Claim Jumper and Angie enjoyed teething on a tiny apple.

Strawberries at the Park with Friends

We meet our friends Sebrina and Layla at the park for a picnic and walk. Sebrina brought some yummy fresh strawberries. So yummy!
Both girls really enjoyed the strawberries.
Playing at the park was fun too. After eating and playing we went on a walk. It was such a beautiful day and I actually got a little color but no burn.

A Visit to Balboa Park in SD

Angie and I went down to San Diego and went around Balboa Park with Aunt Darby. Angie had a great time trying Aunt Darby's sunglasses while we had lunch.

Angie could be entertained by anything. Here Angie and Aunt Darby are playing with a straw.
There were so many beautiful fountains there.

Here Aunt Darby is trying to teach Angie how to throw a penny in the water and make a wish.

Angie loved running around with Aunt Darby.
They had a beautiful Koi pond.

Angie did not know what to do around the fish at first. You can hear the beautiful Sax playing in the background.
We went for a walk around while Angie took a nap in the stroller. There were many squirrels around.
Saw these unique flowers during our walk.
Angie woke up from her nap and loved poking at Aunt Darby's braces.
It was a great day for sunglasses.
I thought the root system on this tree was pretty impressive.
I love the submissiveness and trust displayed by seeing Angie holding hands with someone.
I also got the pleasure of holding hands with Angie during our walk.
On our way out we saw this cool sculpture of an alligator.
It was very fun to climb on.
Here Angie checks out the marbles embedded in the sculpture.
Aunt Darby holds Angie up to see the mirrored tiles in the sculpture.
This is a cute fountain in-front of the children's museum. Later we met up with Stephen and ate dinner at a place called Bite. We had a great time, thanks a bunch Aunt Darby!
