New Years Eve in Arizona

We went out to Arizona to visit Andy's family for the New Year. On New Years Eve Aunt Kendra had a wonderful idea to have the kids celebrate the New Year change over at noon by wearing the cute hats she made and popping the poppers at noon. It was very fun even though it took a little time for the kids to be comfortable with the poppers.
Here is Angie with her cute little New Years hat.
Ryan is such a good friend to Angie.
Andy eating dinner at the kids table as it should be.
Angie with Uncle Joe.
Andy thinks Angie is upset because she is not a Cubs Fan.
While at Grandma Kathy's Andy went outside with the kids. They move so fast it is tuff to take a picture. Here is Renee at the bottom of the slide.
Renee climbing up the wall to go down the slide again.
Ryan and Kaylee going down the slide on their tummies at lightning speed.
Abbie about to go down the slide.
Abbie pauses long enough for a photo. She can take such a cute picture.
Ryan, Abbie and Renee on the slide.
Andy and Ryan playing Lego Indiana Jones. We spent New Years Eve over at Karen and Joe's having a great time playing Scene it on the X Box.
Uncle Joe and Aunt Karen got out the exersaucer for Angie to play in. It was such a hit we had to borrow it and bring it home. Thanks Aunt Karen and Uncle Joe!
Cousin Zoey dressed as a fairy. Later after 1:00am I went back to Grandma Kathy's with Angie and went to bed because I was still fighting a cold while Andy went to where Brian and Kendra were to play Rock Band. He is a closet Rock Band adict.

On the Saturday after Christmas.....

We decided that we would take down the Christmas decorations. We usually do it on New Years day but we will be busy with family on New Years this year. I loved having the decorations up but it made our little condo look even smaller now that we have gobs of baby stuff.
Angie enjoyed helping with the beaded garland. Yummy Beads.
Bead heaven.
"I cry the day that I take the tree down" or maybe it is just nap time.
Angie can now sit on her own for a little bit and loves to sit and play with her fish aquarium in her crib.
She is so interactive and seems to be hitting her milestones so quickly. I am afraid I will have to learn to baby proof before I am ready.
I love those big blue eyes!

Angie now enjoyes "Peek a Boo". Her Aunt Darby discovered this on Christmas night but we did not get video of it at that time. She is laughing more and more and we love it!

Surprise Party for Dannee

The day after Christmas we went to a surprise 50th Birthday party for our friend Dannee. We know her from church, she emulates Christlike service, and was the one who invited us to have Angie be Baby Jesus in Follow the Star.
It was so nice to visit with friends, have fun and enjoy some yummy food from Tutto Fresco.

Angie eats mush take two

We tried feeding Angie Rice cereal again today with the same results as the day before. She still did not like it and got it all over her face. She sure looks cute though in the New Orleans bib GG Cindy got her.

Angie's First Mush Video

Merry Christmas to all & Angie's first Mush

All dressed in our jammies we opened our Christmas presents. Here is Angie with her stocking.
Wow spoons. How exciting. "What are these for" Angie wonders?
"Oh goodie more spoons!"
"It is fun to play with the packaging."
"It tastes good too. Yummy, yummy packaging."
"What is a present?"
"You want me to tear the paper?"
"Books with Pooh Bear in them. We will have so much fun reading them."
"Wait is this what the spoons are for? What is this mush? I don't like it!"
I think only a little mush made it down. She did not really like it. I will see if Andy can post a clip of the video we took. It did help her to take a 3 hour nap though. We will try again tomorrow.
Here is the best present I could have asked for.
For Christmas dinner we had Uncle Cameron, Aunt Darby, Grumpa, and Grandma Yumiko over for dinner. We had a wonderful potluck meal and time together. Poor Yumiko had a cold and wanted so much to hold Angie but did not to spare her from catching the cold. Thanks Grandma Yumiko. We will come and visit you when you are feeling better. We were very glad to spend the time together with our loved ones.
Angie now reaches for everything including the camera.
Cute little Angie with her bow pigtails. Such a happy girl.

Christmas Eve, Angie reaches for the Tree

On Christmas Eve Andy found Angie had moved herself around to be able to reach the Christmas tree. It is exciting and terrifying to see her become more mobile.

Angie playing in her crib

Here is a video clip we put on YouTube of Angie being cute playing in her crib. I often put Angie in her crib after changing a stinky diaper so that I can wash my hands. Often I come in to see her doing something like this. She is such a happy baby and loves the bear (from Grandma Lee) that we usually keep on her changing table.

Christmas Sunday

Aunt Darby went with us to church today. Everyone was dressed so nice that we had to take some pictures.
Angie thinks that Aunt Darby is fun!
Family photo as best we could do with a tripod and camera on timer.

Early Family Christmas Party

On Saturday we had my side of the family's Christmas get together. The original plan was to have a brunch in the morning but Grandma Kris had a migraine so we decided to postpone till later so she could take some medicine and get some rest before coming over. Unfortunately she still had a migraine after several hours, so she decided to stay home and Grandpa Bob came late without her. I was very bummed that she was not able to make it and that our brunch did not work out as planned. I had worked hard to get everything ready and hoped to surprise everyone and have them witness Angie eating mush for the first time in the morning. This did not come to pass. We will have to try to do it some other day. I should have taken more pictures but was bummed and did not think about it. Here are some of the pictures that my sister took.
Here I am enjoying some hot chocolate. Yummy!
Angie dressed as Santa's little helper chillin' with her papa.
Angie getting a taste of all the wonderful books that Grandpa Bob got her. They are perfect size for her little hands and have these rings that make it easy for her to hold them.

4 Month Checkup for Angie the Bean Stalk

Angie turned 4 months old today so we went in for her checkup. She is still growing like crazy. She weighed in at 15lbs 2oz in 85% and her height is 26 1/2 inches putting her at 100%. Way to grow Angie! She got some more shots today and did cry but seems to be much happier afterward compared to last time thanks to daddy's help. The doctor said the she is growing great and very healthy. The doctor also said that she is very interactive more like a 6 month old. Some of the most exciting news for Andy is that Angie can start eating mush, so stay tuned for what happens with the mush.
