Rainbow Day

Somehow Andy was able to eat breakfast with us on a weekday. Angie insisted on sitting right next to him.

I pulled out my new camera and started playing with it. I love how Andy's arm is blurry from motion but Angie is nice and still. Quite ironic I think.

We usually did play group on Thursday mornings but due to some colds we just decided to meet at the park instead this week. We went to a new park to us in Las Flores.

Angie, Raegan and Kate had a great time playing together.

One of my first new videos with this camera is of Angie playing on a cute little piano they had at the park. I love hearing Kate say "to the rescue" at the end. Little kids imagination is the cutest.

Once we all decided to pack up to head home Angie decided to gather up all the toys on her own without even being asked. I would say Mommy is rubbing off on her :)

Later that day there was a beautiful rainbow when Daddy got home. Daddy was happy to show Angie what a rainbow was.

This picture shows how Angie always plays with her hair while she is drinking from her sippy cup. She is obsessed with soft hair and limits her hairstyles to keep access for playing with her hair.

I really think where we live is beautiful!

I Got a New Camera!

As a late Birthday present for Andy and I my Dad helped us get a new camera. I got a Canon SD4500. It has a 10x optical zoom and takes full HD video. I really look forward to capturing lots of memories with it. Thanks Daddo!

Till We Meet Again Kristine

Today I went to the funeral of my friend Kristine who I knew from Junior High and High School. She lost her battle with kidney cancer. She was three days younger than me. In school I remember her as a very kind and spiritual person. She always had a smile and I always felt welcome in her presence. We had lost touch after school but found one another again and connected on facebook.

She has two young children she is leaving behind. My heart aches for these precious children losing their Mother. In some ways I envy the perspective and knowledge she has now not having the earthly cares to distract her. She is now able to know about her Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ in a way that I do not fully right now. She lived a life full of love and goodness. At the same time I cannot imagine leaving my children and not being able to raise them to adulthood. One of my greatest fears in life is to leave my family too early or lose my husband or child too early. I have faith that there is a plan for each of us but I love being here with my little family. This experience reminds me to cherish my dear husband and precious daughter more and appreciate the little things with them.

Kristine, I find peace in knowing that you lived a life believing in Christ and that you are now out of physical pain. You have made a great impact on many people who will miss you until we meet again.

Play Group #1

My friend came up with the idea to have play group. Four of us first time moms decided to take turns watching all four kids. We wanted to give the kids a chance to practice sharing, having fun playing with new toys, develop friendships, develop some independence, have song, learning or craft as able and give us moms a break every once in a while. So here are the kiddos, Kate, Raegan, Angie and Aiden.

Leslie did a great job of capturing so many wonderful photos. Poor thing had a bee sting, finger closed in door and kiddo falling down (all different kids) all at once in the beginning.

Raegan got a bee sting on her foot and Angie insisted on kissing her owie better. I love the compassion this little girl of ours has.

It is so fun to play with new and different toys.

I can just see Angie thinking "he is not going to want me to share this is he?" in her mind in this picture.

Family Pictures at the Beach

We finally got together and had family pictures done with my side of the family before my sister Darby moved away. My friend Ani took the photos and did a great job. Anyone interested can click here. First is Angie, she is the most gorgeous two year old in my opinion.

I picked some plumeria flowers from my tree at home for the girls to put in their hair. I mistakenly put Angie's on the "taken" side. Right side is for available and left is for taken. In any case she is not available until she is much older anyway.
