Family Picnic, Bocce Ball & Making a Birdhouse

Since we all had the day off we decided to have a family picnic. We had a good time playing bocce ball and making a birdhouse that Grandpa Bob got for his Birthday from GG Lee. The idea was for him to have fun painting it with Angie. The above video you can see my great play at bocce ball even though Andy is trying to throw me off.
After some fun with the bocce ball we got to work on the birdhouse.
"So where does this piece go Grandpa?"
Great it is all together, time to break out the paint.
We decided to let her paint in something that is easier to remove stains from. I am also grateful for the beautiful park across the street that has picnic tables to do things like this on.
We all had a great time, including Angie who was very possessive of the paint brush.
A nice close up of Angie and Grandpa Bob showing some war paint. Grandma Kris did a great job at taking the darling pictures.
Angie felt that the birds would appreciate some interior paint on their house.
Then we went for the hand print.
Such a cute little skinny girl. Glad we did not get all that paint on her clothes.
Grandpa Bob shows off the masterpiece.
Now to hang it in the neighbor's tree, since we don't have any trees in our yard.
Looks like a great home for a little bird.
Then Andy took Angie in the backyard and hosed her off. She loved it!
Cute little sun bather.
Finally a wipe to get the tough spots. It was such a fun day. Wish we had more family three day weekends.
