New Car Seat

Angie is getting too tall for her car seat so we need to buy a new one. We went to the store and got the Evenflo Alpha Omega Elite 3 in 1 car seat. Many friends recommended the Britax car seat but consumer reports rated the Evenflo one better. Plus it is a 3 in 1 so it should last forever. Before we officially install it and make the switch I wanted to hear advice from parents on their car seats.

This is a cute video of Angie in the car seat.

We have a 3 in 1 convertible too and it was the best investment ever...especially since Karyl grew out of the carrier at 4 months!! Ours is Evenflo I think...I just know it's the Eddie Bauer edition of some baby brand (I know it's not Britax but it's been over 2 years since we bought it!).

Luckily it's a great seat so we're going to put Freddie in it when he grows out of his carrier (hopefully he lasts at least the 4 months) and get Karyl a booster seat.

Love the big new car seat! I had to move Jenna too. She looks so grown up!

We've got an Evenflo seat too. It holds a child up to 100 lbs. Maleah loves the cup holder and I like that the head rest can be adjusted higher or lower. We also have Britax Roundabout. We ended up going with the Evenflo for the next size up, because the straps were way too tight on their legs.

We got the Alpha Omega for Emilie (so in 2000) We did use it for her up to the front facing stage, but then we turned it around for the next baby. It was a great seat! We used it well the 8 years before it was "done". It held up extremely well and while I cannot vouch for it as a booster (we bought other booster seats) it was an excellent car seat for the other stages and I can't imagine it not doing well at that stage as well. Hope that helps!

She looks so small and petite in that big car seat...but she sure looks comfy! I like the colors. We had a Graco for the carrier, the Britax Roundabout for the toddler years and now we have an Evenflo Big Kid seat for Lauren's booster. We've been happy with all three. Both my girls were able to stay in the carrier till age one though.
