Here I am reading Angie a night time story. Professor Wormbog in Search for the Zipperump-A-Zoo. This was my favorite book when I was a young child. A few years ago both Andy and my sister Darby got me the book for my birthday. When I was 3 (correct me if I am wrong Daddy) I had memorized the words and could read the story to my Daddy. It is nice to share something from my childhood with Angie.
My friend Robyn's little girl Jenna had been wearing some shoes at church and I noticed that they always seemed to stay on. I was having a hard time getting shoes to stay on Angie so when I saw some that looked similar I decided to buy them. I got them at Babies R Us, they are by Koala Kids and the fit great! Even though they are size threes and have some room to grow into they stayed on little Angie's feet all day. These are my new favorites!
They are so cute on little Angie's chubby feet!
They even stay on while crawling.
One of the reasons I love Sundays is because it is a good excuse to dress Angie up all cute. Here she is wearing the darling dress that my friend Rebecca gave her. Thanks again Rebecca!
Wow look at that pose! She is a natural. Love it!
Here she is playing with one of our garage sale finds from yesterday. Lots of buttons to push. She loves it!
Investigating with her favorite pointer finger. That's my girl.
Drum roll please........ Here is the first photo evidence of Angie's first tooth. As you can see by her expression she is not very happy about having her tooth investigated. That is why this is the first photo evidence of the tooth even though it first broke through on Monday. If you look closely you can see the other bottom tooth is getting close also.
I love those big blue eyes.
Grandpa Bob and Uncle Cameron came with a present today. They brought Angie her first baby doll. Here she is trying to decide if she wants to play with the box or the doll.
Eventually the doll won her attention. Here Grandpa Bob is showing her how to play.
Here is Angie and her Daddy. She has become quite fascinated by facial features lately and will poke at anyone's face to investigate. The good news is she usually is gentle now even with the eyes.
The other thing she might try is to teeth on your head. This usually is not gentle and can involve some hair pulling. We will work on this especially now that there is a sharp tooth inside. She somehow thinks she can fit a person's head in her mouth.
I love the glamor pose she has in this photo.
Here I am helping Angie play with her new dolly. She of course wants to poke at the doll's facial features.
Then try to fit the dolls head in her mouth. Closer but still not feasible.
Yea, a picture with Mommy.
Uncle Cameron showing Angie the dolly.
Angie investigating Uncle Cameron's face.
Uncle Cameron what is this hairy stuff on your face?
We got Angie's 8 month pictures done and I thought it was time to get some whole family pictures done also. We all wore our Easter clothes.
Happy Family.
These will be the last pictures of Angie with a "gummy" smile. Today her first tooth broke through, not that you can see it. She is such a good sport to smile even though her tooth was hurting.
Looks like we are saying "Attack"
Mommy especially loves this one.
I love him!
She loves to stand.
Andy did not want me to get pictures of her in the bunny costume we got from his mom. He thought it would be too embarrassing. Well, I won and I think they are darling.
She is so curious. Love it!
She loves to do #1 with her little fingers.
My favorite bunny picture. She is gorgeous!
I love those blue eyes and bright lips. To think she looks this good and no makeup. I am jealous.
Here is Angie playing with her friend Max who is over 4 months her senior. Usually when people with older babies see them playing together they worry about protecting Angie. Little do they know Angie can protect herself and can be the aggressor. Still working on teaching Angie about being gentle.
Angie turned 8 months old today! How did that happen?
We are having a garage sale tomorrow but needed to have it at someone else's home because the association here does not allow garage sales. It will be very nice to get much of this STUFF gone. We owe a huge thanks to everyone from my Mom's local church group for helping to transport everything and help with preparing for the garage sale.
While Grandpa Bill, Andy and I were organizing things Grandma Yumiko and Grandpa Bob gave Angie a bath and got her ready for bed. Thank goodness for Grandparents. What a great help.
Then after Grandpa Bill and Grandma Yumiko went home, Grandpa Bob stayed and babysat for us while we priced everything for the garage sale. He really loved it when she woke up and he got to snuggle her and help her back to sleep. I am sure she loved it too. Thanks for all your help!
