On Saturday we got the opportunity to have Angela play baby Jesus in Follow the Star again. To our surprise when we showed up they were short staffed and needed a Joseph and Mary for a couple of performances. We actually got the opportunity to be Joseph and Mary in two of the performances and have our precious Angela be baby Jesus in one of the two! She cried for us as well.
It was so humbling to see things from Joseph and Mary's point of view. I could only imagine despite their efforts that everything went against them arriving on time (we have all had those days). Being newly married I could see Joseph desperately wanting to provide a warm, safe and comfortable place to stay for his new wife especially in her condition. I could imagine how exhausted Mary was and her being nervous about delivering her first baby in a strange place. I am so grateful for the faith of Joseph and Mary and the many sacrifices that they made. I am grateful for Christ and his miraculous birth in the most humble of circumstances.

What a fun experience for the three of you to participate in.
That is so beautiful.
I didn't know you got to fill in. How fun!
