Comic Relief

My mom's memory box must have been combined with the box she made for Cameron because inside was a Oprah magazine with an article about menopause tagged. That gave us some nice comic relief while doing some difficult sorting.
Sorry the pictures are so dark. It was late at night, the only time I can get anything done because Angela is in bed.

Our Last Visit to Our First Home at Abrigo

Escrow closed today which is bitter sweet for us.

Bitter because we are sad to leave our first home and are moving to temporary housing which is not the best situation. This is the home where we learned to paint, put in lam
inate wood flooring, tile, cut and install moulding, and we brought our precious newborn Angela home to. It is the only home she has known in her little life.

Sweet because we can look forward to hopefully moving into a larger home for our growing family.

Here is Angela in her room. This was where the tears started for me. Seeing it empty made me realized the reality of leaving.
Angela has had tons of fun playing in here and loved playing with the baby in the mirror.
The second bathroom where we learned to replace light fixtures, faucets, toilets and vents.
Here is the custom towel rack that Andy made to put all of Angela's towels and still have room for company to hang their things.
Angela in our empty living room. We spent many many hours in here. It took us a couple try's to find a green we liked for the accent wall.
We worked hard on this fireplace to take down the boring cement moulding and put up marble and Andy made that custom mantle. He has become so handy. I am so proud of him.
The beautiful view from one of our balcony's.
The view from our front door. We got some wonderful breezes from the canyons.
One of the zillion bunnies that would graze on the grass outside.
I will also miss all the replaced windows and doors. They were so easy to use and blocked out so much noise and temperature. Time to look for a new home and make new memories there.

Angie Learns to Drive

Angie got a little antsy while waiting in the car to go look at possible homes to buy and needed to be fed. So we brought her up front. She had a blast behind the drivers seat.
So much to look at.
Even a great chew toy is included.

Happy Birthday and Bon Voyage

We got together as a family to celebrate Cameron's Birthday and Darby's Bon Voyage to Costa Rica for 6 weeks. We all went out to dinner. Angie got her first try of teething biscuts. She really liked chewing on them.
Angie loved being passed around to have fun with everyone.
An actual picture of me. Thanks Andy, I do exist.
Yummy biscut.
Angie also enjoyed the independence of sitting in a highchair and chewing on the table. Anything that will fit into her mouth is free game for teething on.
Angie and her Aunt Darby.
Angie and I will miss having Aunt Darby visit while she is in Costa Rica for 6 weeks but wish her a wonderful time.

It's Official, Angie is Now Crawling

Angie decided to show off when family was around and visiting to start crawling more than three moves in a row. Present were Grandma Kathy, Grandpa Bob, Grandma Kris, Aunt Darby, Uncle Cameron and of coarse her Mommy and Daddy. It is not smooth but it gets her to where she wants to go.

Pull to a Stand and Lowering the Crib

Angie can now pull herself to a stand in the crib, so we decided to lower it. She is so happy and proud of herself when she gets up and is standing. Such a cutie!

Happy Birthday to Cameron!!

Here is Angie playing and teething on anything she can get her hands on.
Cute picture with her tongue sticking out.
Angie playing on the floor with Grandpa Bob.
She was really close to crawling tonight.
Grandpa Bob and Uncle Cameron came by to have a small celebration for Cameron's Birthday. He turned 1/4 of a century old today. Actually he turned 25 but 1/4 of a century sounds so much older. Happy Birthday Uncle Cameron!

This is a cute video of Angie and Grandpa playing.

Crying to Sleep

Don't let this smile fool you. She will always smile when she see's a camera. Angie has gotten in the bad habit of needing to be rocked to sleep since she was sick with pneumonia earlier this year. She also required rocking to fall back asleep if she woke up. This makes for many nights of little sleep and a tough time to get anything done during the day. I decided this needed to change and did the cry to sleep method. The morning nap Angie cried for 50 minutes before falling asleep. Second nap she cried for 30 minutes and at bedtime she cried for 5 minutes. It is slowly getting better. Here is to good sleep in the future.

Home Sweet Home

After we got home from Arizona we let Angie get some of her wiggles out before bedtime. She is so close to crawling.

Angie gets around pretty good and for some reason often ends up under the swing. She loves to play with the swing but ends up getting hit in the head by it when it is swinging unless we intervene. The end of this video shows a good save by her daddy.

A Beautiful Saturday in Arizona

We had stayed up until 2am talking before going to bed. Angie did not get the memo to sleep in and woke up at 6am to eat and would not go to sleep. Thankfully Karen and Joe let us sleep on their king size bed so there was plenty of room for Angie to play between us while we tried to sleep in. Finally at 8am she fell back asleep. This is what I found when I got up at 9am so cute.
Grandma Kathy and Uncle Joe had to work so myself, Andy, Aunt Kendra, Uncle Brian and Aunt Karen rounded up all 6 kids and went to the outlet mall so the kids could play and we could do a little shopping. We also met Brian and Kendra's friends there who had thrown the party for Brian the night before.
Angie hanging with Daddy.
After the outlet mall the boys (meaning Andy, Brian and Eric) decided they wanted to go off shooting and doing big boy stuff instead of going to the Baskin Robins opening celebration with us. We said we would be okay without them, what were we thinking. So us four adults headed to Baskin Robins with 8 kids!!!!!!!!
Everyone got a balloon. Her is Zoey with hers. You can still see the temporary tattoos on Zoey from the night before.
Abbie got a blue one too.
They actually stood still for a moment to watch the balloon making.
Ryan showed his balloon sword to Angie who wanted to explore it with her #1 finger.
Zoey was also so kind as to show Angie her balloon.
Renee got an orange balloon.
Kaylee got a blue balloon.
Then it was time for ICE CREAM!
Ryan enjoying his florescent colored ice cream with his friend.
The twins trying to figure out how many times they can drop their ice cream on the floor.
Kaylee showing off her ice cream. Needless to say after trying to keep everyone from getting into everything, not running into the parking lot, steal the clowns tip jar, cut in line for face painting, dropping their ice cream, or getting kidnapped we were exhausted. It was fun but seriously I don't know how you guys do it? Thankfully Ryan went to his friends house to play, Kendra went home with Abbie and Zoey for some quiet time, and Karen & I took the twins home for a nap. Karen went down for a nap but unfortunately Angie was not ready for a nap at that moment so no nap for me. At least I was able to sit down for a little while before the next big party.
Then we had a casual family get together at Karen's with Grandma and Grandpa Ray. I lament the fact that I was too exhausted at the moment to get out the camera and did not get any pictures with Grandma and Grandpa Ray. I would love copies if anyone has any. Joe brought home some Robin's Eggs and Karen and I used them as lipstick.
Angie was super happy to play with her cousins once she woke up from her nap.
Is it spiderman?
No it is Kaylee dressed up.

Ring around the Rosie.
After a long day we had some very dirty children so we threw them all in the tub. This is when many melt downs happened as you can see from the pictures. They as well as we were exhausted.
Rub a dub dub how many kids can fit in a tub? Six!
Angie go a bit overwhelmed by the end. Maybe it had to to with the kids being obsessed with dumping water on her head. They all were very concerned about her crying though.
Grandma Kathy came by after work and the kids were in bed. We wrangled her into staying up late and playing a game with us.

Really an elephant???
Once Grandma Kathy got worn out and went home we broke out the trusty Rock Band of coarse. I have more videos to upload from this day but I am having a difficult time getting it to work. So stay tuned for any updates.
