New Years Eve 2009

For New Years Eve we stopped by our city's celebration.
They had a childrens petting zoo, with children to pet too LOL.
The animals were just as interested in the people as the people were in them.
Angie liked looking from behind the fence.
That is one BIG bird!
A very friendly goat.
They had some really cool bounce houses there. This is one from Pirates of the Caribbean. This would have been loads of fun if Angie was more like 5 years old. She was too small for the big bounce houses. The did have one for 3 and under. It only cost $5 for a wrist band to play as much as you wanted.
Here are some of the many bounce houses and climbing walls with the Blue Moon in the background.
I just thought the Blue Moon was really cool, the picture doesn't do it justice.
Later we went to celebrate at Angie's friend Reagan's house. Angie, Reagan and Carter made a dog pile.

Here is some baby wrestling for your enjoyment. We had a great New Years Eve and hope you did too.

David and Becca Visit

We met up with Andy, David and Becca for lunch. It was nice to spend some extra time with David and Becca while they were in town.
Angie was very scared of Uncle David at first but he won her over in the end. When we first picked them up and David got in the back seat with Angie she burst into tears. It was kind of funny.
Angie feels like such a big girl when she gets a soft taco of her very own. She sure does make a big mess too.
After lunch we went to Becca's parents home to meet her new puppy Lilly.
She was a very sweet puppy and nice and gentle with Angie. Angie on the other hand needed reminding to be gentle with the puppy. Becca will make such a good doggie mommy, she has a way with animals.

I love the squeals of joy Angie makes in this video!

Christmas Day 2009

We enjoyed a quiet Christmas morning together unwrapping presents at Angie's slow pace. She was usually more interested in playing with the toy she just opened than moving onto the next present.
I found a child's purse and dress up things at a garage sale and put together Angie's very own purse and wallet. She always loves playing with mine, now she has her own to make a mess of.
This is a fun toy that a neighbor handed down to us. Angie loves it and can sometimes even match up the shapes.
Angie loves books and anything with buttons so I bought some books with buttons at a garage sale for her.

Here Angie opens one of the few things I bought on Black Friday. A color wonder to hopefully keep her a little quiet at church.

Our neighbors surprised us by getting Angie two darling toys. This is a book that she had shown interest in when we were at Costco. It is a farm book with plush animals that make sound when you press them. It is a big hit with Angie! This girl really loves books!

Here Angie enjoys opening this present from the neighbors. She really started getting the hang of it by the end of the day.Angie loves the little school house that the neighbors got her. We were pleasantly surprised by their generosity. Have we mentioned that we love our neighbors and where we live! We had a wonderful Christmas spending time together, taking a nap, taking a walk, saying hello to all our neighbors, keeping in budget and welcoming the Spirit of Christ into our celebration.

Water Angel

Angela is getting more comfortable in the water and will lie on her back with her ears in the water. We look forward to lots of fun in the water outside once the weather warms up!

Sunday Before Christmas 2009

Angie has a new favorite pastime, turning the lights on and off.
We have been taking Angie into the nursery at church early, it was that or walk the halls. They are so sweet to her there and welcome us there even though we are not "legal" until February. They even made a Christmas ornament with her picture for her.
As with any baby she loves to give it kisses.
Mom and Dad, I don't want to pose in-front of the tree.
Nice to end the day with a cookie :)

Early Christmas with My Family

Since my sister was going to be out of town for Christmas we decided to get together for my side of the family's celebration early.
So nice to have a home to gather in.

Here Angie starts to learn that there are toys inside the packages.
Angie was in a good mood.

Here Angie has fun bouncing the new ball Stephen and Aunt Darby got her.More presents, here Angie is opening the little pearl bracelet Grandpa Bob and Grandma Kris got her.Darby got Andy some Nerf guns.
Mischevious Andy loved them.Andy showed his gratitude by shooting Darby right between the eyes.
She wasn't too happy but Stephen was.Angie had fun playing with everyone.Stephen and Darby got Grandpa Bob and Grandma Kris a Boccie Ball set. We went to the park across the street to play.Angie wanted to play along as well.
Angie loved being outside to play!Stephen and Darby had fun too.

I love to watch Angie just run around, she is just so cute! She loves playing with her Daddy. After playing Boccie Ball we went over to the neighbor's to see their Christmas Trains.Angie just loved it and loved being a little social butterfly.

Here is some video of the amazing train setup.

Next Angie naturally went dancing along to the Christmas music over to her friend Reagan's house.

Then we went back to the house to target shoot at Darby.

Then some target shooting at Steven.
A family picture :)Angie gave Grandpa Bob a great big goodbye chat and hug.Once family left we went down the street to the trains again to give the Marines our toy for the Toys for Tots drive.Angie bumped her head while we were there. The face in this picture just makes me want to scoop her up and cuddle her all better. Our generous neighbors were able to collect about 300 toys for the Toys for Tots program. There were six Marines there and a great Christmas spirit in the air.

Church Holiday Party 2009

Here is our family picture with Santa. Yep, you guessed it, Angie cried in fear so this is the best picture we got.
Here is Angie's friend Reagan and her Santa experience.
Angie and her friend Kendra. So sweet!
This was our church's Christmas Party. The cookie decorating table was awesome. We had a good time and love those we serve with.
