Happy

Angie now says the word happy but it sounds more like "appy".

Sunday morning with Aunt Darby

Aunt Darby was so nice to take Angie for a walk on Sunday morning before church so I could get some time to myself. It was a beautiful windy day.
They went on a walk down the trail outside or front door.
Angie loves to explore.
Anything is a toy at this age.
Aunt Darby brought up some hair moose so we decided to try a new hairdo. A pony tail. It stayed so well, even lasted through nap time.
Such a happy girl. We sure had a great time with Aunt Darby.
This is how my sweet girl goes to sleep. She has to have her blanket, Mrs Bear and sippy cup with water in it. Sometimes I wish I could climb in and snuggle with her.

Finn's Baby Blessing Day

Zoey, Finn and Abbie on Finn's Baby Blessing Day.
Such a handsome Finn in his blessing outfit.
The whole family.
Andy with his brother Brian and his nephew Finn.
Karate kid.
Monkey do, monkey see, monkey do.
Awww, Zoey and her Mommy Kendra.
Who would not like to be tucked into bed like this?

Andy's Trip to Virginia

While in Virginia, Andy and his brother Brian's family went to a nearby park adjacent to the James River. They went hiking on a trail that lead down to the river. Then there was a pontoon bridge that you could take onto the river. But then they got to a spot where the bridge was partially submerged, making passage almost impossible.

So Andy tried to convince Zoey that all she needed to do is run real fast, jump over the water, land on the railing, tight-rope across the railing, then be on the other side. Just easy as that!
Happy Momma Kendra with baby Finn
Zoey on the bridge, with Brian and Abbie in the background.
Here they are back on the trail. They spotted two little monkeys while hiking.
A close-up of the monkeys in their natural habitat. (No, not a Studebaker. You are thinking of bears.)
The trail was through these cool windy trees.
"Can we take a break? I'm tired!"
Daddy Brian found a natural hammock-- a tree branch. Rock-a-bye baby, on the tree hammock...
See Zoey. See Zoey run. Run, Zoey, run.
Zoey tried to jump over a little stream (mostly mud.) Although she did land across the stream, she promptly fell backwards into the mud. (Yes, Andy was the bad example here. How did you guess?)
Move over Butters, there is now something much more cuter. (But that's not saying much with Butter's...)

Family Dinner at Olive Garden

With Andy being out of town and Aunt Darby on Spring Break she came up to spend some time with us. Angie sure loved spending time with Aunt Darby as did I and having her around to help was wonderful as well.
Angie enjoyed the bread sticks but that was about it. It is hit or miss right now with her eating due to her teething.
Uncle Cameron, Grandpa Bob and Grandma Kris.
Me, Aunt Darby and Angie. Aunt Darby sat next to Angie allowing me to eat with both hands!
These two really had some good fun.
Love that little smile.
One of Angie's new words is "mine" and she and Darby had a mine war over the napkin. So nice to get together.

Happy 26th Birthday Cameron

For Cameron's 26th Birthday we helped him change his rotors and breaks. I guess I should say "welcome to adulthood".
I made his favorite Carrot cake for him. Happy Birthday Cameron!

Disneyland with Second Cousins

We went to Disneyland on another hot day to meet up with Angie's second cousins. It was a little more crowded than last time we went but timed it right to walk right into Captain EO. Disneyland has started reshowing it as a tribute to Michael Jackson. Angie was scared during the fight scenes but would not take her eyes off the screen during the singing and dancing. She even wore her 3D glasses.

Here she is showing off her dance moves after seeing the show.
We explored the giant spinning marble while making contact with cousins to meet up.
Here Angie is giving her second cousin Charlie a big hug. Angie and Charlie really got along well especially since they are only about 5 months apart.
We explored Mickey's house. I am not sure how Mickey would feel about you standing on his couch with your shoes on Angie?
Angie and Charlie exploring Pluto's bed.
Here is all of us; Jack, Stephanie, Mickey, Charlie, Stewart, Me and Angie.
Jack finally woke up from his nap so I was able to catch a photo of him while he enjoyed some frozen lemonade. It was fun to spend some time with them.

Beach, Park, Bike and Family Dinner

After a yummy breakfast Angie, Grandma Kathy and I headed to Dana Point since it was such a beautiful day.
Angie had fun playing in the sand.
Angie also ran into the water a few times but felt that it was too cold to really go in.
Just a beautiful day, we look forward to coming back on a day when the Ocean Institute is open to the public.
Angie loved to run all over in the sand.
Angie made a new friend and was good to share her sand toys with her. We all had tons of fun until she got sand in her eyes and mouth and started signing "all done".
After nap time Angie, Grandma Kathy, John and I went for a walk to the park. It has been a while since we had been to this park and now Angie can get on and off the rocket ship on her own!

Angie can even rock back and forth on the rocket ship all by herself!
Here Angie is showing John how good she is at going down the slide.
Then Angie went on the swing with Grandma Kathy.
When Daddy got home he tried taking her for a bike ride on her cousins bike to see how she liked it. Sometimes she hated it, other times she did not mind so much.

Here she is on the bike going around the block. We need to find her helmet and really would not go very far without it.Daddy seems to have fun on the bike :)
Then we all went out for Andy's dream dinner at the Neighborhood Grill (delicious Salmon or Fillet Mignon Kabobs) and then to Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt for dessert. Very nice to have Grandma Kathy and John visit us.
