Angie Rolls

Angie is getting better at trying to roll. She cannot roll over all the way but she loves getting onto her side. We put her to bed on her back and came back in later to see her sleeping on her side.

AZ Sunday Saying Goodbye

Andy, Megan and Angie with Angie's cousins Kaylee, Renee and Ryan. How many kids did you say you wanted Andy?
I got to read the twins a story.
Here we are with Andy's sister Karen and her family. One kid for each lap.
Here we are with Andy's brother Brian and his family.
Mom, Kendra, Andy, Angie and I drove David to the hotel where he was to stay the night and be taken to the Air Force in the morning. Everyone was crying except for Angie.
We took David out to lunch and they were nice enough to give us a free slice of Motherload Cake because of David joining the Air Force.
David also ordered the Motherload Sandwich for lunch.
Yes he did finish it all if you were wondering.

Zoey read this whole book that Brian had written. Great job Zoey!

AZ Saturday David's Fairwell Party

Andy's brother David joined the Air Force and enlists on November 9,2008. Andy's mom threw him a farewell party. It was a great excuse to get together as a family and introduce Angela to family that she had not met yet. All of Andy's siblings were there except for Steve and his family.
Angie got to meet Great Grandpa Donald and Great Grandma Nita.
Everyone enjoyed eating cake!
Angie also got to meet Great Grandpa Ray and Great Grandma Maureen.
Four Generations.
Angie chillin' with cousin Abbie.
Everyone watching the pirate show from earlier in the day.
Great Grandma Nita and Grandma Kathy.
Four generations of girls.
We surprised David by flying his girlfriend Becca out for the party from CA.
What a beautiful cake.
David and Becca. So cute together.
Becca is great with kids. I think I might have a local babysitter for Angie. Yeah!
Zoey and Ryan attack Uncle David.
We were very happy to see Great Grandma Maureen who just had surgery for breast cancer four days ago. Thankfully our prayers were answered and she is doing well. We know she is doing well because the first thing she thought of when she woke up from the surgery is "Great I am alive, now I can finish that quilt".

AZ Trip Saturday Ryan's Birthday Party

On Saturday we were able to attend our nephew Ryan's Birthday Party. It was pirate themed. We were very grateful they decided to have it on the weekend we were there.
Grandma Kathy found some pirate dog costumes on clearance from Halloween for 99 cents. The twins wore the body suits but would not keep the hats on. The hat was perfect size for Angie and she is not yet coordinated enough to take it off so it stayed on the whole party. Such a cute pirate.
I love my little pirate.
Cupcake pirate ship.
Pirate ship hot dogs.
The pirate crew.
Revenge on the Dread Pirate Roberts (AKA Pirate Bob or Andy) for stealing all the loot.
The kids loved listening to the Dread Pirate Roberts.
Seriously Andy did a great job.
Captain Ryan storming the castle.
Pirate Angela the Drooley chewing on her Baby Bjorn.
Angie and her cousins Renee and Kaylee.
Dread Pirate Roberts has a soft spot for Angela the Drooley.

Andy is so entertaining.

Angie's Bedtime Routine

We have started a bedtime routine with Angie. First we read her a book, she actually pays attention sometimes and now try's to grab the book. Then we sing her a song followed by a prayer. After that we can lay her in the crib all swaddled up, turn on her mobile, give her a binky and she usually can fall asleep on her own. This works most of the time. We are truly blessed with such a wonderful baby.

Andy is a Poll Worker Again

Andy was an Election Poll Inspector again for this election. Thankfully he worked locally at Trabuco Mesa Elementary School so it was easy to visit. This time he had about 750 people come to vote. Andy I am so proud of you for doing this. Love you.

Thanks for your support

I wanted to thank everyone who supported me in regards to my last post. It is nice to know how many people are loving and supportive of us. I hope that we can all continue in love and support of eachother despite any political differences we may have.

Love you all!

Stop the Hate

I received a comment on the Happy Halloween Post that bothered me tonight. It was from someone with the user name "Stop the Hate". I did not publish the comment because it had personal attacks against the appearance of my loved one's pictures that I had posted. The comment also had personal attacks about our intelligence and stated that we were spreading lies.

I do not understand where this kind of comment is deserved by us. I have not posted any hateful thing on our blog. We have posted that we support loving family values and have chosen to support Prop 8. No where in our support of Prop 8 do we encourage any kind of hate. I believe that we all deserve equal rights and that no one should be persecuted or hated even if they believe differently.

I support Prop 8 because I believe that marriage should be defined as between a man and a woman and that domestic partners should continue to be defined as between two people of the same sex. To me it is to specify the definition. The government will not allow my husband and I to join together as domestic partners because we do not fit the legal definition. I do not feel discriminated by this, I understand that the same rights are involved but the definition is different just as the makeup of that union is different. Just like I am a wife by definition not a husband. That does not change any of my legal rights.

We have not attacked anyone personally or written any lies. We have loved ones that disagree with us in our support of Prop 8 but that does not make us hate them. We still love them and respect their freedom to their beliefs and hope that others do the same for us. How can someone call themselves "Stop the Hate" and attack me and my family personally when we have never encouraged any kind of hate? Can anyone explain this to me?
