Heading Back Home

Angie helps John fix the bike. She sure loves to "help" and John is great at letting her.
Then she was happy to take it for a test drive.
She pops a wheelie!
The even took a little ride on the 4 wheeler (next trip we will be bringing her helmet). It was great to get some wiggles out before the long drive back home. We had such a great time and are so glad we were able to visit.
Angie is checking George for bugs during the drive.
Angie has been potty trained for a while but we decided to put a pull up on her for the 6 hour drive home just in case. Sure thing in the middle of nowhere AZ Angie announces that she needs to go potty. We tell her that she is wearing a pull up and it is okay to go potty in it. A few minutes later she again announces that she needs to go potty. We again tell her to go in her pull up. Another few minutes later she again announces that she needs to go potty. We decided to pull over and see if she would go potty on the side of the road. Here Andy is trying to help her go.
Thank you to Grandpa Bob for the editing of this picture. Angie was having a difficult time going potty in an unfamiliar setting. Andy and I got her folding toilet seat protector and held it up for her to sit on. She sat on it and was able to take care of business. I am so proud of her amazing potty training achievements.
Once we got home Angie enjoyed some milk in her recliner chair we had gotten for her at Costco. She looks right at home. We had a great trip but are happy to be home safe and sound.

Black Friday 2010

Friday morning we said goodbye to Uncle David, Aunt Becca and Daisy. We will miss them but I am sure Daisy will be relieved not being "child handled" anymore.
There are so many fun things to ride on at Grandma Kathy and John's house.
Grandma Kathy opened the fridge just as a side-lying partially drunken Martinellis decided to explode. We all had a good laugh but poor Grandma was sticky the rest of the day.
While Mommy and Grandma Kathy decided to brave some shopping on Black Friday, Daddy and Angie went out on an adventure.
Angie found something interesting while on their adventure.
Then they decided to follow the sound of ducks. Success!
There was a pretty waterfall as well.
Lots of ducks escaping the snow in AZ.
A Merry Go Round was discovered next.
Then the greatest discovery of a choo choo train! This will be talked about by Angie for a long time. She loved her adventure with Daddy!
So excited as she waits.
Yippee, she is on the train!
She looks so little on the big train seat.
Once home she enjoyed some cuddle time with Mommy. Mommy enjoyed it too.
At the end of the night Angie go a hold of the camera and took a picture of the Woody doll. She loves to take pictures. What a fun day in AZ!

Thanksgiving 2010

We arrived the day before to Grandma Kathy's house for the holiday. Grandma was prepared with a fun gingerbread house to decorate.
Angie loves to help.
Angie not having a sweet tooth all the candy made it onto the house.
Angie loves animals (too bad I am allergic) and was super excited to play with Uncle David, Aunt Becca and Daisy.
Next we went out to the garage to see what toys John had to play with.
She looks so big!
Get a little movement in before mass consumption of food happens.
Angie loved "helping" John get his tools out.
Fun at the park just a little way down the street.
Angie fixing the big bike.
"Here John, a hammer can fix anything."
Angie got serious and put a working hat on.
This picture came out a little blurry but I love how she thinks she is so big on the four wheeler.
Grandma Maureen and Grandpa Ray came for the holiday as well.
Afternoons make for great naps.
Decorated table before the dinner.
Table during dinner.
After dinner we did a small gift exchange. Angie now is really into opening the presents.
Some dolls to dress up from Grandma Kathy and John.
Grandma helps show Angie how it works.
Angie is poised and ready to help open presents at a moments notice.
Twin baby dolls from Grandma.
Some fun things to use in the kitchen from Uncle David and Aunt Becca.
A nice big puzzle from Grandma Kathy.
Angie is getting the hang of it.
Then Angie gets distracted but Daddy and Grandma Kathy continue on.
With a group effort the puzzle is finished.
We made sure to get a group picture with Grandma Maureen and Grandpa Ray. I remember one visit we forgot and I kept kicking myself. It was a wonderful Thanksgiving Day filled with fun, family, relaxing and food.
