Buddies and Cousins

After going to church and watching Aunt Becca have the Holy Ghost confirmed on her and seeing David be ordained to and Elder in the Priesthood we said our goodbyes and headed back to Arizona. Ryan again went with us in the car. The two of them were so cute and both fell asleep for a little while. Ryan was so sweet to share his stuffed animals with Angie. It was a nice spiritual visit to New Mexico and we are so glad that we went.

Park, Peter Piper Pizza, Baptism and Family Time.

After getting dressed and having breakfast at the hotel we meet Grandma Kathy, Aunt Karen, Cousin Ryan, Cousin Kaylee and Cousin Renee at a park. It was very windy but we all had fun. My only regret is Aunt Karen lost her camera there.
There was a pile up on the slide :)
Next we went to Peter Piper Pizza for food and some more fun!
Kaylee takes a ride on the train.
Renee and Kaylee go for a drive.
Joe and Ryan play air hockey.

Love Ryan's reaction in this video.
Kaylee takes a ride on the carousel.
Renee also takes a ride on the carousel.
After Peter Piper Pizza we went back over to Uncle David and Aunt Becca's home to get ready for the baptism. Ryan got a new suit. He looks so handsome!
Ryan Kaylee and Renee pose for a silly picture. The twins were so sweet. Kaylee was very upset and wanted to wear the pink dress that we had put on Renee. Renee volunteered to switch with her and even started taking the pink dress off. I love to see children have empathy for each other.
David and Becca right before the baptism. It was so wonderful to hear Karen share her feelings about baptism, and to see David baptize Becca.
Ryan and Grandpa Bill showing off their matching outfits, cowboy boots and all.
Andy and Angie jump in for a picture.
Three generations in a round about way. Grandpa Bill, Nephew Ryan and Andy.
We took a picture with David and Becca on the way home after the baptism.
Next we went back to David and Becca's for a yummy turkey dinner, relaxing and spending time together.
Angie saying goodbye to Grandma Yumiko. It was well worth the trip to spend time with family and especially see Becca get baptized.

The second day of our trip we had a yummy breakfast at Grandma Kathy's and lunch at Aunt Karen's. Then we drove out to New Mexico. We ended up taking Angie's cousin Ryan along with us in our car to help keep Angie company. She loved having him with her and we loved spending time with Ryan even if it was while we were stuck in a car for 7 hours. We arrived safely in Las Cruces and after saying hello to David and Becca and reuniting Ryan with his family, we headed for our hotel. This is Angie's first time sleeping in a hotel. It actually worked out very well. Wish I took pictures.

Silly Signs

Yes we were on the road again headed to Phoenix. On the 60 highway in AZ we passed some interesting signs (what else do you do when traveling?). You pass a very small town called Hope and once you pass there is this cute little sign telling you that "Your Now Beyond Hope".
This just made Andy laugh "Passmore Gas & Propane".

Finally Legal in Nursery

At church the kids start going to the nursery at the age of 18 months old. We had been taking her early since November and just staying there with her. It was that or walking the halls with her. She loves nursery! We also love nursery because it means that we can go to our classes and not have to chase her around.
Well, now she is 18 months old and legal in nursery. This is what our little angel looks like on her first legal day of nursery without Mommy or Daddy there. What a big girl!
Angie loves to help Mommy or Daddy with whatever they are doing. Here she is helping Daddy get the mail. She likes to make sure nothing is left inside.
Angie has started to like to play hide and seek. One of her favorite places is in our storage ottoman. It is just the perfect size for her.

Playing Nap Time

Angie had a fun time this morning playing nap time on the ottoman with her Daddy's help.

Purple Princess

Little Angie has discovered the joys of dressing up. She picked out the wings and shoes. I think she matches pretty well, my little purple princess. She even went walking half way around the neighborhood in those shoes. She eventually asked me to carry her back home because it was hard walking in the heels.

Angie's 18 Month Check Up

We went in for Angie's 18 Month Check Up. I cannot believe my baby is 18 months old! She is doing great, talking, running, sleeping our big concern is her eating. Lately she has only been drinking milk and not eating her meals. I hate to with-hold her milk but that may be what we need to do until she starts eating better.
I know, Mommy hates having her weight taken too...

Here is how she has grown
33 inches tall or 85%
23 lbs and 14 oz or 40%

Being only in the 85% for height we just might have to put her on "the rack" again until she gets a little taller ;)

Dinner with Aunt Darby and Stephen

We went down to San Diego to visit Aunt Darby and went out to dinner at the Mona Lisa in Little Italy. It was yummy and nice to spend time together.

Walking in the Canyon

Andy had the day off for President's Day so we decided to go out and enjoy the beautiful weather and canyon outside our front door. Our neighbor David and his daughter Rae (Angie's BFF) came along to help show us around.
You can't see very well in the picture but Angie and Rae are giving each other a hug. It warms my heart to see Angie be so loving to others and to see these two get along so well.

Here is cute video of the girls running around and Rae is so nice to share her "Bobby" with Angie.
It was nice to let these two run around and even nicer was the wonderful naps they took in the afternoon.
Here is Rae discovering some wild sage growing.
Me and Angie get a closer look at the creek.
It really is quite beautiful down in the canyon and hard to believe it is right outside our front door.
It was very nice to have the men to carry the little ones up the steep slope.
The trail that we took went up to where the playground was so we stopped to play.
They are getting so adventuresome and brave on the playgrounds. They really enjoy the slides.
We all had a great time. We love where we live, that we can go hiking in 80 degree weather in February right outside our front door.
After lunch Angie needed a wardrobe change and the pants we put on her were too big in the waist. Andy being the clever guy that he is solved it with a "twixit" clip from the kitchen. Good thinking :)

A Run with Daddy

Angie was very excited to go on a run with her Daddy. She really loves getting out in the stroller. I really need to start walking again now that we are healthy.
Later that night we had fun going out to eat with Aunt Darby and Stephen.

Would you be my Valentine?

Angie has embraced the use of sunglasses and realizes that they have a purpose of helping keep the sun from being too bright. She likes to put them on and say "eyes" over and over.
Whenever we go for a walk Angie's first stop is our neighbors Derek and Kathy's front steps. She loves to walk up and down them and sit on them.
Ange wonders if you will be her Valentine?
Angie's next stop is her BFF Rae's place. She likes to knock on the door and welcome herself in as soon as they open the door. Rae likes to play "hide" in the entertainment center.

Rainy Day Dress Up

I was not feeling well and it has been raining so we got creative on how to find some entertainment. Angie kept trying on many things from the dress up box.

Here Angie is showing off her best stuff in her tap shoes.

We have many play phones but lately Angie has been using her MegaBlocks as a phone. I love listening to the silly conversation she is having.

Because We Can

One of the servers went down at Andy's work so he had to drive up to Anaheim to get it back up and running. We decided since he was going up there we should go to Disneyland. It had been raining on and off all day but only rained on us for a few minutes while we were there.
The lines were short and it was great to spend time together. Angie is so cute in her hat. We first went on Buzz Lightyear, then It's a Small World.
Then we went on Casey Jr.
Just a bunch of wild animals!
It was nice to have Angie there so we didn't have to deal with having a stroller.
I just love this curious little girl.
Then we got some funnel cake. This was the longest line we waited in all day.
Angie had fun running around and exploring.
I had to take this picture on the way out. I just love the ambiance here with the gas lamps and beautiful craftsmanship on the buildings. GG Cindy this one is for you. It made me think of your dad.
