Blackmail for Angie

Well, anyone who has spent time with young children in diapers knows what it means when they pause from playing and make that special face. Today Angie was making that special face and I caught it on film. Andy's reaction on the second video is definitely worth a watch. This should be good blackmail for Angie in the future.

Jimmy's Eagle Project

Today we went to Jimmy's Eagle Project to help support him in gathering things to send to the troops in Iraq. As a reward for everyone's efforts they made us a yummy pancake breakfast. It is nice to have a good cause to gather together and visit. Great job Jimmy!
This is Cari, Jimmy's mom and Angie's future preschool teacher.
This is Angie's friend Kendra. Kendra loves babies and has a real liking to Angie because she has the same name as her mom. Angie loves the attention.
Since Angie is currently an only child I love seeing her interact with other children. Hopefully someday she will be a great sibling (please no pressure on the timing folks).
Look at Angie reach out to play. Kendra is very patient with Angie pulling her hair and trying to eat her face. Kendra is going to be a great baby sitter and mother someday, it just comes so naturally for her.
Here is Angie with Lisa. Lisa loves to hold Angie and often does during church. Angie loves to pull Lisa's hair and try to eat her face and glasses (yes Angie is teething, why did you ask?). Thanks Lisa!

Aunt Darby Visits

Aunt Darby came for a visit. We enjoyed feeding Angie mush (she is getting much better), playing at home, going for a walk around the lake, going shopping at Target, giving Angie a bath and making some yummy butterscotch brownies. In the morning I even got to go grocery shopping on my own while Aunt Darby babysat. We love having Aunt Darby visit.

Eating apples with Grandpa

Angie is getting closer to getting teeth and loves to chew on anything. Her doctor gave the okay to use these mesh food feeders to safely give Angie some solid foods to chew on. Here is a picture of her first taste with an apple slice in it. Needless to say she loved it.

Home Search

We went house shopping and while looking at this home the owners had a baby two months older than Angie. So they played together while we looked at the house. It was super nice of the owners to watch Angie for us.

Angie's 6 Month Check Up

Angie had her 6 month check up today. I can't believe she is 6 months already! Here is how she has grown over the past couple of months
Height 27 1/2 inches 95%
Weight 16 lbs 4 oz 50%
Who would have thought we would have a very tall and skinny baby? Maybe she is Suubi's baby afterall! (Suubi calls Angie her baby, is 6'1'' tall, beautiful, and African American)
Here is Angie with the nurse who really loves her job. We love all the staff at the pediatricians.
She looks so tall on the scale.
She had shots again today. So sad. This time she held her breath so long while crying the strawberry on her nose turned purple until she caught her breath. Poor baby, at least she was able to cuddle with her daddy.

Happy Girl

Angie was being so cute I thought I would get it on video to share. Hope it brings a smile to your face. It did mine ;-)Angie did something new today. She has been able to push the button on her Fish Aquarium for quite a while but today when I got her up from her nap she must have pushed the button on her Mobile because it was on. She seems to learn something new every day!

6 Months Pictures

Happy belated Valentines day! We went to Sears again to do her 6 month pictures. She really made us work to get a smile out of her. Most of her smiles were the kind with no lips. Here are some of my favorites.

She looks so big standing here.

Okay more semi nakey photos. She usually smiles more when she is free of clothing. Cute little ballerina.

Made an Offer

We put on offer in on 19 Osoberry but so did 29 other people. Unfortunately we did not get it. Looks like we will need to put more offers out there and see which fish bites.

Grandma Kathy babysits

It was a rainy day so Kathy and I decided to try going to the movies and hope that Angie would take one of her 2 hour naps during the movie. We went to see "He's Just Not That Into You". It was cute but made it look like girls seem really desperate and guys were the ones in control. I discovered that Angie is not good at going to the movies. She slept for 20 minutes and spent the rest of the time using me as her jungle gym. Well now we know.
It was so nice to have Grandma Kathy visit. Since she is an NICU nurse we figured that we could trust her to babysit Angie (jk, really we are not that overprotective). As a belated Valentines we went out on a date night. Dinner at CPK and then bowling (got sore from bowling, I really need to start hitting the gym). It was so nice. We have not gone out on a date without Angie since she was born so this was long overdue. It is actually one of my New Years resolutions to get a babysitter for Angie and go out on a date night twice a month but since we have been sick for the last two months I have not gotten to it. Anyway it was very nice, thanks again Grandma Kathy!

Visit from the Grand's

Grandma Kathy is in town visiting from AZ and Grandpa Bob usually stops by on Friday's, so we decided to go out to dinner at Islands. It was nice to have so many hands to help while we ate and Angie loved the attention.

We sold our Condo!!!

Update on the sale of our condo. In less than two weeks we had three offers. We accepted one just $10K under asking price. Not bad in a market like this I think. We are now in escrow and it closes on March 29th. Now we need to find a place to buy. We want to stay here in RSM. We will keep you posted.

Diaper Rash

Poor Angie has been having diarrhea from the antibiotics for the pneumonia which has caused her to have a bad diaper rash. So wonderful Aunt Karen suggested some things to help one included letting her air dry for a little while. She was so cute I had to snap some nakey photos.
Here is Andy trying to censor the nakey photos with Mrs Bear.
Her mobility is getting better and I think she might be crawling in the next couple of weeks. I will keep you posted.

I love to watch these two play together. They really just love each other so much.

Becca Babysits

With Angie not feeling very well we took Becca up on an offer to babysit while we went house hunting. Becca is Andy's brother David's girlfriend and we have adopted her as family already.
Angie loved it, I think Becca had a good time as well. I am so grateful that Angie is good at socializing. Such a happy baby even though she is sick.
Thanks again Becca, your the best!
